One Night in Beijing...

so under HEAVY request by Miss Becca Yang, I will spill my travel story. Since Taiwan is so familiar to me, I've got nothing to say about it, plus i din take any pictures anywayz~~ Beijing was amazingly clean but sadly as a tourist u dun feel kinda secure w/o some sorta guide hanging w/ u... maybe just me. Traffic is HORRIBLE, even worse than TW. BUT, being in BJ was kinda cool, for da 1st time in my life, I feel Chinese and wut it means to be Chinese and wut it's like. U feel kinda proud n say " look @ wut we Chinese has built b4 and how strong we are" hell w/ da foreigners haha. Everything was new to me and everything was different from anything i've seen...from streets, to food, to cars and clothing...cos we're talking about a west west Canada meeting with a 100% Eastern-->China.

YUM....BUGS
1st nite was nite market nite. Just a lil long street with food stalls on da side to get a feel of Beijing. It was amazingly clean and food was things i've never seen b4...of course like bugs, scorpions etc. Rest was NORMAL hehe... chek it (ya...sadly i din eat any scorpions eh?)

WONTON GOODNESS
so just a bit of snack not gonna heal us, so our friend Zhang bot us to a nearby famous wonton place. Frankly, wonton wasn't dat tasty...actually nothing in BJ was tasty to us...da flavor is just not my style..prolly dat diff water or oil or wut shit...food wasn't bad, just not tasty~ anywayz, the place was packed and we ordered some wonton n sidedishes and a couple China beers. I was like ew...beers...but it's so hot...Guess wut? China beers are da thang man~~ it's so good, i am a beer hater but dis beer "Yan Jing" ain't got da nasty bitterness, it was mild, not heavy and tasted cool~~ dat was my regular drink every lunch n dinner hahaha thou da alcohol kicks in pretty kick, like after 2 cups. Usually i dun feel a thing after a pitcher haha j/k

OUTSIDE FORBIDDEN
so it was getting late n Zhang drove us past da Forbidden City n showed us da outside. Cos we're heading 1st thing next morning. Da palace looked really solemn n walking towards it u feel that u shouldn't breath...as if ur gonna break something. I feel like a kid that stole candy...the palace speaks to me n tells me dis IS wut chinese are like. Beijing is a cool city in that they live in a both traditional and modern city. U wake up n go to work n u drive past da Forbidden City...a palace...where all da kings and queens lived...da enuchs...it's like watching TV drama come alive...da feeling is overwhelming but i think Beijingers are sick of it haha

China is so big so i gotta split my travel stories hehe....stay tune n of course becca, now u have more things to read~

BACK FOR A MONTH!

so i've been gone for a month n now back for almost a week. Haf been kinda busy n lazy about updating my travel story. It was all quite overwhelming n dramatic...all i can say is i'm back home n i haf nvr missed Canada so much b4! This trip summed up can be described as "adventurous." First the visa problem the nite b4 my departure, i almost couldn't go...but through a special channel i got a visa in couple hours, can't tell u, it' s confidential. Then wen i was in da HK airport, i dropped my HK id which was picked up by a old man n returned to me! Kinda thank him. Wen i was in HK for a day to fix sum personal business, my mom who went to Taiwan first told me my grandma was in da hospital. See? Is my trip overwhelming or wut? But now everything is cool...

ABOUT DA JOB
friends out there haf been curious abt my job offer. I did check it out in Beijing n now i know a bit more about the nature of my job n about my boss. She is a producer! She's working w/ movies n now she wants to open a PR company with me to help her out with da international market as i'm better in English. She also wants me to be w/ her when she's working on movies. Basically, i'm her big time personal assistant. A lil secret i found out wen i got back to Canada...as i googled her name...turns out her husband is a famous singer/actor in China..and i din even notice as i went to their house haha! So..as my boss wants me back in Beijing ASAP, i will be leaving next month for 3 months.

3 months is kinda me trying out da job n decide if my parents wanna invest in their company. My boss was asking us if we wanna invest in their company cos she doesn't want to treat me like an employee. (cos she's our friend/client in our office in Canada). But dat's kinda bull cos we know she's not willing to pay dat high a salary for me. She mentioned that "if i pay 10000 RMB, i can get someone from QINGHUA university (famous U in China). Me n my dad was like "hell, den go find someone there." Cos techinically, if i work at Mcdonalds in Canada i can get more than 10000 RMB.

Also, we dun feel secure to invest in a company we dunno shit about...3 months is our decision time. One more reason is cos the salary she's giving is hell low compare in Canada but hi in China. But i dun give a shit about getting a hi pay in China cos dat's worth like nothing in Canada...around 400 bucks. So if after 3 months she's not giving me a raise, i will be leaving. There's also a slim chance she will be giving me a raise cos she already said 10000RMB she can get someone SHE THINKS is better. BS!! o well, so.. i got nothing to lose, n i can always get a way more decent job in Canada.

So u ask y am i staying then...first, to get experience. second, this job is actually close to wut i wanted to work w/ media...so technically, 3 months is my vacation, learning, experience period, wutever u wanna call it...

ok, i'm getting really lazy. Talk about trip next time. Ciao
